Camping Coll Vert, Carretera del Riu, 486 – 46012 – Pinedo (Valencia) – España

http://www.collvertcamping.com/en/       N 39.39726 W -0.333685

€16.00/6Amp – Discounted ACSI price – approx €36 regular price (includes 1 dog @ €4.95) – discounts for long stays

 EHU

 WiFi

 Shower Block

✅ On a bus route to Valencia city

WiFi in a room close to reception only – WiFi is ‘screened’ and not available via iBoost on the site. At this price WiFi should be available site-wide. 22nd century site fees for 20th century facilities

‘Tired’ site – website pictures exaggerate the reality

Excessive traffic noise from the adjacent CV-500 dual carriageway

🏁 A lovely site for luddite, masochistic, camping aficionados who dream of camping ‘the way things used to be’. They should want for nothing. The rest of us will swerve this camping until WiFi upgrades are performed and the CV-500 dual carriageway is relocated to at least one kilometre away from the site. Just to clarify that, this is a sub-standard site charging ‘Bel Air’ prices.

Truckin’ on through to the Benidorm area

Coming into Calpe – heard only good Calpe. ‘All the Aires’/Camperstops guides show a great aire ‘Odissea’ with EHU/WiFi – it just didn’t have a pitch available to accommodate ‘Twernt’. Plenty of roadside ‘wilding’ available but we wanted a ‘long stay’ EHU/WiFi site so we moved on – again.

Our pitch at Camping Coll Vert. Pylons overhead, CV-500 dual carriageway 10-15 metres behind us, and, joy of joys (not) a dedicated Wifi room when you turn left at the bottom of this lane – so that’ll be no-desktop PC, no-‘in-van’ video streaming plus a big list of other cannot do’s – but at least we’ll be able to use the tablet to find a 21st century campsite

  1. What a shame there was no room for you at Oddisea, Calpe. It really is as good as you have heard. Internet is an extra, but good value and powerful, also showers 1 euro, but nice and hot, 7 mins on timer ( we always use our own, after all water & electric is in pitch price )
Safe travels, and I love your blogs!
    Ken.

    • Thanks Ken, we hope to get back Oddisea – it wasn’t a good idea to arrive on a Saturday! If we do go over to the dark side (a caravan) it will only be for a short time before we return to a motor home. We know where we want to get to but we need more spondulicks than we have in order to get there. Cheers, Roy.
